As part of Richmond's 5th Annual ChinaFest, VMFA proudly presents a fun family event for all ages to promote cultural understanding through arts and media. Come celebrate the Chinese New Year with extraordinary art projects such as dragon masks, beautiful lanterns, and traditional-style scrolls. Learn about the animals from the Chinese zodiac and discover which one symbolizes you! Enjoy games, face painting, stories, and a virtual tour of Chinese objects from VMFA's permanent collection! The ChinaFest Family Day is made possible by a generous gift from the Rose Group.

$10 (VMFA members $8), registration required
Spring on over to VMFA and bring your basket for an egg-citing egg hunt with Hoppity Rabbit! Enjoy outdoor games, all new spring art activities, and a live musical performance by the Richmond Indigenous Gourd Orchestra. Rain or shine, this event will be hoppin'.

VMFA’s Compliance with Code of Virginia 22.1-296

Enacted in 2006, Section 22.1-296.1 of the Code of Virginia requires that all persons who provide services to school children during school sponsored activities and have direct contact with students certify that 1) the individual has not been convicted of a felony or any offense involving the sexual molestation or physical or sexual abuse or rape of a child; and indicate 2) whether the individual has been convicted of a crime of moral turpitude.
