
Teen Stylin': Fire and Ice
Create fiery fashion trends and cool creative clothing designs inspired by the special exhibition Chihuly at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Designed for students with a passion for clothing design, studio arts, installation art, and/or sculpture, Teen Stylin’ provides aspiring designers with the guidance and assistance to create their own one-of-a-kind, wearable works of art. More than 50 Virginia student designers in grades 6 – 12 will work over the course of eight weeks to create wearable works of art inspired by the heat of glassmaking and Dale Chihuly’s glass and giant ice installations as well as the influence of nature on his work. These creations will be featured during the Teen Stylin' runway exhibition Dec 9, 6 – 9 pm.
