Canvas

Canvas is a unique Focus area, available beginning at the Partners ($600) level, for those who wish to broadly explore VMFA’s diverse collection as part of a vibrant community of art lovers. In recognition of their philanthropic support of VMFA, Canvas Focus members receive invitations to six events a year, which may include guided tours, cross-collection Focus programs, behind-the-scenes museum events, and access to private collections in the Richmond community.

Canvas members enjoy all the benefits of General membership plus the following invitations, privileges, and recognition:

• Invitations to two private Canvas events per year
• Invitations to three Partner level events with receptions specially selected each year by VMFA
• Invitations to the Focus Series, an exclusive series of eight programs focusing on VMFA’s extensive permanent collection
• Reciprocity with over 450 art museums around the United States (North American Reciprocal Membership Program)
• Reciprocity with 14 other major metropolitan museums (Metropolitan Reciprocal Program)
