Permanent Collection Visits

All student tours of VMFA’s permanent collection are free.

Students: K – 12
Visit times available: Sat – Wed: 10 am – 5 pm, Thurs and Fri: 10 am – 9 pm 

Reservations: Request a tour online or by phone at 804.340.1419 (Mon – Fri: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm) at least two to three weeks in advance to ensure gallery availability.

 Special Exhibition Visits

Maharaja: The Splendors of India’s Great Kings
Self-directed student group visits are available for Maharaja: The Splendors of India’s Great Kings, seven days a week, Mon, May 21 – Sun, Aug 19, 2012. Please note: This is not a guided tour. 
 
Minimum of 10 students, maximum of 50 students total for a self-directed visit. Reservations are subject to ticket availability. Guided group tours for this special exhibition are also available. Fees will apply.
 
Cost: Group tickets are $12 per student with one chaperone for every 10 students admitted for free. Additional chaperones are $12 each.

Payment information: Once your reservation is confirmed, you will be emailed an invoice by Tour Services. Payment must be received no less than two weeks prior to the date of your tickets. Your full payment must be received before this time; otherwise, we cannot guarantee your tickets. Additional tickets may be added after the due date, dependent on availability. Reservations will expire after payment due date. Once payment is received, tickets are nonrefundable. Payments may be made by phone at 804.340.1419 (with credit card) or by mail (with check made out to VMFA) to VMFA, Attn: TOUR SERVICES, 200 N. Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23220.
