Adult Lecture Courses Registration
Those who register for adult lecture courses must be 16 or older. To register, please phone the Ticket Desk at 804.340.1405 or visit the calendar to purchase tickets online.
Studio School Registration
Those who register for adult studio courses must be 16 or older.
Register Online, by Mail, by Phone, or In-Person
Enroll online, by mail, by phone at 804.340.1405, or in-person at the VMFA Visitor Services Desk from April 15 until the week before classes begin. (Registration form required for all registrations except by phone.) Registrations received prior to April 15 will be held until then.
Register Early!
Classes and workshops with insufficient enrollment will be canceled at least a week before they are scheduled to start. Please register early. Check the VMFA website for current sold-out or canceled offerings.
Materials
For studio classes, students are required to supply some or all materials. Look for PDF supply lists on the class pages. Main Art Supply is no longer in business. Please disregard the listing if it appears on supply lists.
Confirmation
Students who mail in Studio School registrations will receive confirmation by phone or email. No tickets will be mailed.
Continuing Education Credit
Upon request, teachers who participate in courses will receive a letter of completion for continuing education credit to submit to their school at the end of the course.

Registration Policies
• Enrollment is open to the public.
• We reserve the right to change instructors when necessary.
• We reserve the right to refuse enrollment to those with a history of unacceptable behavior.
Limited Enrollment
Class space is limited. Registration is first come, first served. Please register early.
Studio Attire
Many materials used in art class cannot be washed out if they come in contact with clothes. Students are advised to wear "studio" clothes.
Payment
Tuition and all fees are due in full upon registration. VMFA accepts checks, cash, or credit cards (VISA, MC, AMEX). If you register by phone, payment must be received within four business days. If you register by mail, payment must accompany your Registration Form. Please make checks payable to VMFA.

Cancellations
Fees are nonrefundable except when VMFA cancels a class or workshop. Classes may not be switched or substituted once registration is complete. Please make your selections carefully and mark your calendar!
Studio School Parking
If there are no parking spaces in the Studio School lot, park in the VMFA Parking Deck, Sheppard Street and Stuart Avenue, 9 am – 7 pm (free for VMFA members, $5/day for nonmembers). Parking spaces are not guaranteed.
Location of Classes
Adult Studio School classes meet in the Studio School at 2911–15 Grove Avenue (across from VMFA) at the corner of Sheppard Street. Computer classes are held in the VMFA Pauley Center.
Membership Discounts
VMFA members receive discounts on classes and workshops.

Teaching Proposals
Professional artists with adult studio art teaching experience interested in proposing a workshop not currently offered at the Studio School are encouraged to email a descriptive cover letter, resume, 10 images of their artwork or website address, and a workshop description. All proposals will be considered. Please familiarize yourself with our current offerings before you submit a proposal. Course offerings are set at least six months in advance of each semester.
